New nomination of the Award. Nomad

This season, together with our partners, the Association of Decorators of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, we propose to focus the theme of ethnic interiors on rethinking elements of nomadic culture in the interior.

The Nomad style has become widespread in modern design as an attempt to rethink nomadic culture, adapting its elements into the life of a modern person moving from one urban space to another.

Why is this style relevant in interior design? We asked to give a comment to Safiya Balakireva, co-founder of the Nomad nomination, President of the Association of Decorators of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan:

"Ethno-style in the interior is not just a fashionable trend,
but a deep trend reflecting the desire for authenticity, comfort and connection with traditions. The desire for individualization and national identity can be expressed through
textiles, ornaments and textures.

The ethno-style also meets the modern trend for environmental friendliness. Natural materials – wool, linen, leather, stone – not only
they look aesthetically pleasing, but also create a harmonious environment. It is also incredibly flexible: it can be integrated into minimalism, boho, eclecticism, adding textile accents or ethnic decor.

Inspired by the cultures of the world, travel, family traditions, we create an interior that is not only beautiful, but also filled with meaning. Ethno-style is not about the past, but about eternal values that make the space alive."
