Trend Rooms 2024
White bedroom
Trends: emotional design, texture, relief, tactile materials, geometricity, minimising information noise and moving away from colour.
"The White Room is the refuge of the lonely aesthete. Everything here is arranged for rest, relaxation and privacy. The room has few things and many textures. You want to touch it and explore it tactilely. The main emotion is tranquillity.

"The room tells its story not through colour, but through the layering and multifaceted nature of the materials present in it.The very concept of white as the absence of colour was an inspiration. It is hard to imagine that a white environment invigorates us, causes a burst of energy and increased activity. White calms, purifies perception and heals the body. A white room is a heavenly place where we stay away from the hustle and bustle," says designer Julia Golavskaya about the concept of the room.

Albina Knizhnik
Textile designer at Togas,
winner of the Textile Decorators Award 2023
"For many years I designed and sewed lightweight and outerwear as well as evening dresses. For over twenty years, however, my passion has been 'clothing for the home'. I have transferred my experience from the world of fashion to interior textiles, paying special attention to details, treatments and decoration. My approach is to combine different textures and materials. That's why I chose the "white room".

At first glance, white may seem simple, but in fact it is multifaceted and variable. Textures, materials, geometries and shapes all contribute to creating a unique white interior that is not only pleasing to the eye, but also capable of changing, adapting and bringing new visual and tactile sensations.

For eight years now I have been working for the well-known textile company Togas, and thanks to its huge potential and production capacity, I can decorate turnkey objects.

I hope that I will be able to demonstrate my professionalism and creativity as a decorator of one of the Trend Rooms at Hometextile & Design 2024".
