Les&POLE: a cosy restaurant with Slavic character

The design studio Filimonova Textile was tasked with developing a concept for a RESTAURANT reflecting one of the main trends of our time - the connection of times. Working on the project, the owner and inspirer of the studio Olga Filimonova created a restaurant, in the design of which she reinterpreted the heritage inherited from ancestors to modern man. The result is a cosy space, in the soulful atmosphere of which natural fabrics, traditional Slavic ornaments, textures and colour palette are harmoniously combined with innovative technologies and forms. The design is based on the awareness of the close relationship between man and the natural world. LES&POLE is a place that brings back to the natural origins, village, folklore, and evokes nostalgia.

Love for nature and everything natural is reflected in the choice of materials - wood, stone, clay, linen, jute, branches. Trying to play up the theme of nature, the designer used a lot of textiles in green colours, so the restaurant space turned out to be deliberately green. The centrepiece of the composition is an author's panel of velvet and mirrors imitating a wall of moss. The forest spirit is supported by wallpaper depicting forest herbs, live and artificial plants. Lighting has been thought through, just like in a real forest: during the day the room is quite bright due to the abundance of daylight, but in the evening it is quite dark. To create a special atmosphere, Olga paid special attention to details: characteristic Slavic ornaments; dishes, vases, handmade wooden decor; decorative panels, mirrors, floor lamps and ceiling chandeliers created according to the author's sketches.
